Rest of Season Fantasy Rankings

One of my fondest memories from my childhood was seventh grade english. My teacher decided to assigned us a Poem project.  For some odd reason, my poem was loosely based on someone involved Witness Protection, who was forced to move because of their past. The majority of the poem is clichés, alongside uncreative alliteration, but the ending is by far the most entertaining part.

At this point in my life I had just discovered rap. I was still fairly uneducated in the genre, but I was making a strong (maybe too strong) effort to include rap in as much as I could throughout my day.

As I finished writing, I decided to include a quote to close my poem. I searched, “Rap quotes about change” on google.  I chose the first lyric that appeared, a quote from “In the Ghetto” by Rakim, a 90s emcee. This quote soon was edited out by my teachers and peers, but it also serves a purpose for fantasy football.

Right now, many participants in fantasy football will speak of their 7-2 record. Records do not matter; rosters do. A starting line up of Le’veon Bell, Arian Foster, and Dion Lewis could have gotten one to a good place so far, but from now on that team has little to no chance of getting to the playoffs. The past is no longer significant. At this point, hot starts are just a glimpse in the rearview mirror, but still some owners cannot depict legitimate fantasy starters from early flukes. I am here to help.

In closing, do not forget the wise words of Rakim, “It’s not where you’re from, it’s where you’re at”.
